Rossett Station scene circa 1960
Glyn Roberts sent the railway photos with the following comments:

The railway photos, which were taken?early 1960's?at a guess, are not that clear, having been taken with a very simple camera at the time. However I think will be of?interest.

? . . . an?express (probably Paddington to Birkenhead) passing through the station, hauled by a ex GWR 'Castle' class locomotive. The warehouse and station buildings are just visible on the left of the photo.

The second photo has?a similar subject but was taken from the other platform which enables the 'Rossett' station sign?to be seen in front of the warehouse. Note the?flower beds?which were tended by station staff and were a common feature of many small country stations. . . . .
